Alyssa Appleton
SAG - AFTRA
theatrical actor / voice actor / writer
ABOUT
Alyssa is a classically-trained actor and voice artist based in LA. She holds a BFA in Acting from the University of the Arts in Philly where she studied Meisner under Meisner's own protege, Ernie Losso. She's also studied classical theatre in London with members of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Additionally, she's trained in voice acting under Charlie Adler and Ashley Barlow, and audiobook narration under Amy Rubinate. She has worked with acclaimed Directors & Writers such as Amy Sherman-Palladino, Emerald Fennell, Zack Snyder and many others. Alyssa prides her self on her ability to deeply connect to her characters and thrives in a wide range of acting and storytelling styles.
Her voice is grounded - a deep mezzo with the gravitas of a battle-hardened viking (it’s that Scottish/Scandinavian blood - skäl!), but with a strong range and musicality that allows her to tap into a bubbly teenage young adult one moment, and then drop down into a disillusioned, cold villain the next.
VOICE ACTING/AUDIOBOOK NARRATION
"Narrator Alyssa Appleton takes charge of this offbeat mystery with her confident portrayal of Oxy-addicted PI Tori Swenson."
-R.W.S, AudioFile, October 2024, Burnt Ends

"This quest fantasy builds an imaginative world of nightmarish horrors, and Alyssa Appleton's methodical narration keeps listeners putting one foot in front of the other as they journey through it...
...This is a dark, immersive fantasy, and Appleton's committed narration does each determined character justice."

These were extra special; separate from my first work as a narrator, I boarded production on the Rebel Moon films while they were still in prep. I was on set every day of the 152+ days we shot & I saw both parts through Post. Getting to narrate the audiobooks was a dream – it was so important to do that story and those characters justice. I had the rare privilege of going into recording both of these with that universe, its history, its characters, and its life, already breathing inside of me.
